Fitueyes Buyer Guide of TV Stand

The TV is a key element in most modern living spaces, whether you’re watching shows, movies, gaming, or a mix of everything. A well-chosen media unit helps maximize your space and enhance your viewing experience.

Understanding TV Screen Sizes

Knowing your TV’s size is essential when choosing the right TV stand, and it’s not always as simple as it sounds. The advertised size of a TV is typically measured diagonally, from corner to corner, in inches—meaning a 54” TV measures 54 inches from the top right to the bottom left corner. Keep in mind, though, this measurement includes only the screen, not the surrounding bezel or frame.

TV stand sizes, on the other hand, are measured by their width, side to side. Because these measurements differ, a suitable TV stand width will often be less than the screen’s diagonal size.

What is the VESA Standard?

The VESA Interface Standard specifies the spacing in millimetres between the four mounting holes on the back of a TV (measured horizontally and vertically). This standard is widely adopted by TV brands for wall mounts and wall-mounting systems.

Typical VESA sizes include 200 x 200, 400 x 400, and 600 x 400, with the appropriate size depending on your TV’s screen dimensions.

Finding Your VESA Size

To determine your TV’s VESA size, you can consult the product manual or simply measure it yourself. Locate the four mounting holes on the back of your TV, and measure the distance between them horizontally and vertically. This gives you the VESA size in millimetres.

Measuring Your VESA Size

To measure manually, find the four screw holes on your TV’s back panel. First, measure the distance between the centres of the two left and right holes. Then, measure between the centres of the top and bottom holes. Record these dimensions in millimetres as width x height (e.g., 400 x 300).

Choosing the Right Size TV Stand

Fitueyes TV stand not only enhances the look of your screen but also keeps it secure. Using a stand that’s too small can be unsafe, so choose one with a bit of extra space on either side—especially helpful if you need to access the back of the screen.
